How Creator Earnings Work

What you earn from tips, when you can cash out, and what happens if a tip is refunded.

Your share of every tip

When a fan tips you, you earn 55% of the price they paid. SwipeVibe keeps 45%. That covers the Apple App Store or Google Play fee, payment processing, and running SwipeVibe. The amount is fixed: you see exactly what you earned as soon as the tip arrives, and it never changes later.

TipYou earn (55%)SwipeVibe (45%)
$0.99$0.54$0.45
$2.99$1.64$1.35
$4.99$2.74$2.25

Amounts are rounded down to the cent. Fans outside the US pay their store's local price, but your earnings are always calculated from the US dollar tip price above.

From tip to cash-out

A fan sends a tip

You get a notification, and the tip appears in Creator Analytics โ†’ Tip history with your earnings marked pending.

45-day hold

Pending earnings are held for 45 days. Fans can ask Apple or Google for a refund during this time, so the hold protects everyone from paying out money that is later taken back.

Earnings become available

After the hold, your earnings move to Available to cash out automatically. You get a notification when this happens.

Cash out

Once your available balance reaches $100, you can cash out to your bank through Stripe. SwipeVibe does not take another fee at cash-out. Stripe or your bank may charge payout or currency-conversion fees. Set up Stripe payouts.

If a tip is refunded

Apple and Google decide refunds, not SwipeVibe. If a tip is refunded, your earnings from that tip are removed:

You get a notification for every refund that changes your earnings.
